What is a Multi Sensory, Themed, Musical, Baby Development Class?
Gosh what a mouthful of a title, so many buzz words in one sentence! I think before we go any further into what the Baby Class Blueprint is, I need to be clear about exactly what I think Multi Sensory, Themed, Musical, Baby Development Classes are and what the Nurture Sounds take on them is.
Typically these baby development classes have, at their beating heart, music, song, movement, sensory and heuristic play. The content is specifically designed to support a baby's development from birth to 1 year and they use a 'theme' ie The 1960's as the musical and visual inspiration.

Which brings me to ........ Props/Roomscapes ......
Unless you've been living underneath a rock for the last few years, you can't help but notice that the introduction of props into baby development classes has exploded. Social media is flooded with images of cute babies wearing animal headbands surrounded by themed props and fibre optics. They are, without doubt, very popular with parents/carers but they are a bit like marmite - some practitioners love them, others loathe them. (I started off in the loathe camp but quickly converted once I realised how powerful they were as conversation prompts for mums!)
So let's be very clear .......
- If you want to run Themed, Musical, Baby Development Classes that are very theme immersive, use props, dress ups, fibre optics, tuff trays, lights, basically the whole shebang - this training is ideal for you
- If you want to run themed, musical baby development classes that don't use props to support a theme - you are a no lights and no headbands zone - this training is ideal for you
